The founder of Amazon, Billionaire Jeff Bezos announced that he is stepping down from his role as Chief Executive Officer from the company that he founded in a garage, nearly 30 years ago.

Bezos, the wealthiest man in the world, will assume the role of executive chairman and is set to be replaced by Andy Jassy. Jassy is currently running the Amazon Cloud Computing business.

The change is expected to happen in the second half of 2021.
